PTS Arborists Joining Hurricane Harvey Recovery Push

Recovery efforts continue in the wake of last August’s Hurricane Harvey

Professional arborists from around the state, including our own Micah Pace and Chad Simmons, will be in the Rockport-Fulton area over the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday weekend to assist local, Hurricane Harvey-impacted residents with basic assessments for tree safety and tree health.

They will join fellow volunteers from the International Society of Arboriculture-TexasChapter, the City of Rockport, the Town of Fulton, Aransas County, Texas A&M Agrilife, and Texas A&M Forest Service to provide important Level 1 tree risk assessments for local residents and property owners. These efforts will help reduce risk from damaged or dead trees as well as help prevent the unnecessary removal of trees that will continue to survive and recover from the mega-storm’s devastation.
